It wasn’t the interrogation scene between Batman and the Joker. It wasn’t the superhero beatdown administered by Iron Man when he first tries on his suit. It wasn’t even Indiana Jones swinging through the warehouse.
When MTV set down to record the single best moment of Summer 2008, it wasn’t any of these scenes that had us cheering that made the cut.
It was one that had us singing.
The best scene in “Hellboy II: The Golden Army” was a quiet scene between Hellboy and Abe Sapien where the two sing “Can’t Smile Without You,” drunk as skunks and each a little heartbroken.
